DexCalc App Privacy Policy

1.Information We Collect

When you install and use the DexCalc Android application, we collect limited diagnostic and interaction data to ensure performance, stability, and free access. We categorize the data as follows:

• App Usage Information: Anonymous interaction metrics such as screen views, button taps, and active feature durations.
• Crash Diagnostics: Stack traces, device memory states, and system events recorded at the time of an unhandled application exception.
• Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID) or reset-able vendor identifiers utilized by AdMob to serve relevant ads.
• Device Characteristics: Device model, OS version, language preferences, screen density, and network state.
• Local Calculation History: Your saved financial values, inputs, and scenario calculations stored strictly on your local device.

2.Local Storage & On-Device Room Database

DexCalc utilizes Android’s native Room Database and Jetpack DataStore to store your calculation history, favorite formulas, selected currency symbols, and theme preferences directly on your physical hardware.

3.Firebase Analytics

Firebase Analytics collects usage and diagnostic-related information, such as calculator screen interactions, session information, and app performance indicators. This data is used to understand application usage and improve DexCalc.

4.Firebase Crashlytics

To rapidly identify and fix software bugs, DexCalc includes Firebase Crashlytics. When an unexpected crash occurs, Crashlytics transmits diagnostic reports containing device hardware parameters, operating system build numbers, and the precise code line where the error occurred. Crash reports contain no financial input numbers or personal identities.

5.Google AdMob Advertising

AdMob may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location signals, and ad interaction information to provide and measure advertisements. Depending on your device and consent settings, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized.

7.Data Retention Policy

Local Data: Calculation histories stored in the Room Database remain on your device indefinitely until you clear app storage or uninstall the app.
Analytics Data: Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings and policies applicable to the Firebase services used by DexCalc.

8.User Rights & Privacy Controls

You maintain total authority over your data on Android:

• Clear App Storage: Clear all local Room database calculations at any time via Android Settings > Apps > DexCalc > Storage > Clear Data.
• Reset Advertising ID: Reset your Google Advertising ID via Android Settings > Google > Ads > Reset Advertising ID.
• Uninstall: Completely remove all local application files by uninstalling DexCalc.

9.Children’s Privacy

DexCalc is designed as a general utility for commercial, educational, and financial mathematical modeling. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or applicable local statutory limit).

10.International Users

Anonymous telemetry data processed by Firebase and AdMob may be transferred to and processed on cloud infrastructure located in the United States or other jurisdictions adhering to global data protection frameworks.

11.Security Safeguards

DexCalc implements Android OS sandbox isolation, encrypted Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3) for all telemetry network requests, and strict runtime permission restrictions.
